Philosophy

At Blue Lotus Nature School, we strive to educate the whole child using a Reggio Emilia approach based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. The blue lotus represents common sense; the use of wisdom and logic to create enlightenment.

Blue Lotus students learn through daily exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching natural outdoor environment.

We learn through play with each other and our animals, practical work in our gardens and barn, and creative projects in nature and in our art studio.
